Mike Collins teases Georgia Senate run in new ad
The video told viewers to "stay tuned," and questioned who could beat Ossoff in next year's midterm elections.
Georgia GOP Rep. Mike Collins on Monday teased a potential challenge to Georgia Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff, releasing a new advertisement that highlighted his connection to President Donald Trump.
The video told viewers to "stay tuned," and questioned who could beat Ossoff in next year's midterm elections. Collins is one of the state's Republicans who are reportedly considering a bid for the party's nomination in 2026.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler have been floated as potential challengers, while Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene have passed on bids for the seat.
“Tires kicked. Fueling up,” Collins posted on X alongside the 15-second-long video, where Trump touted Collins' "love" for the state.
Georgia Republican Rep. Buddy Carter and Georgia Insurance Commissioner John King are the only Republicans to have formally launched challenges to Ossoff so far. Ossoff was first elected to the battleground seat in 2020.
