Republicans back leadership's Epstein resolution over Massie bill

Massie called the vote "meaningless."

House Republicans on Wednesday approved a resolution of support for the Oversight Committee's Epstein probe in what appeared to be an end-run around Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and his efforts to release documents related to the late financier and sex trafficker's operation.

Massie has worked with Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., on a discharge petition to force a vote on requiring the Department of Justice to release its information on Epstein. The administration's handling of the Epstein has led to widespread condemnation, with many zeroing in on Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The leadership-backed measuure, was approved 212-208, The Hill reported. This version notably just expresses support for the Oversight Committee's ongoing review and merely asks it to continue its work.
