White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative, Political and Public Affairs James Blair said Wednesday that President Donald Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill" is the most important legislative achievement for members of Congress.

"This bill will be the single most important legislative achievement that most of these members of Congress have ever done in their career in Congress to date, and maybe some that will ever do," Blair said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.

The bill, pushed by Trump, includes key factors of his agenda, such as no taxes on tips, increased border security funding and extending the president's 2017 tax cuts.

The House is trying to pass the legislation and get it to Trump's desk to sign.

"It's a renewal of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which was the biggest tax cut in American history, that President Trump passed," Blair said. "On top of that, we have all the tax cuts that the president campaigned on in 2024: no tax on tips, no tax on overtime pay [and] a huge tax cut for seniors on Social Security."

Blair says he hopes more good bills to advance the Trump agenda will be coming in the future.

"We're kicking illegals off Medicaid," he said, referring to the bill. "Millions of illegal immigrants are on Medicaid in this country. It's costing us hundreds of billions of dollars, and we're getting them all off the rolls. So that is just a little bit of a flavor...but there's just so much to love about it."
