Judge rules Trump administration can't mass fire Consumer Financial Protection Bureau workers

A federal judge on Friday ruled that the Trump administration cannot conduct mass layoffs in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 

U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson, of Washington D.C. said she was concerned the administration was not complying with her previous order that stopped it from dismantling the CFPB, according to The Associated Press.

Jackson said officials would be barred from carrying out mass firings or barring employees from having access to computer systems.

Employees from the administration are set to testify before Jackson on April 28.
