Jury finds tech consultant guilty of second-degree murder in death of Cash App founder Bob Lee

After 7 days of deliberations, a jury in San Francisco on Tuesday found Nima Momeni, a tech consultant, guilty of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Cash App founder Bob Lee.

He could be sentenced between 16 years to life.

Lee, 43, was discovered stabbed on a street and later died at the hospital on April 4, 2023. 

According to the Associated Press, prosecutors alleged that Momeni intentionally lured Lee to a deserted spot under the Bay Bridge and stabbed him three times. Prosecutors said Momeni was angry with Lee for connecting his younger sister to a drug dealer who apparently gave her GHB and other drugs and sexually assaulted her.
