Luigi Mangione, who is accused of killing former UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, was indicted on Thursday on federal charges related to the alleged assassination.
Mangione has already been charged on the state level, but the new indictments accuse him of stalking and murdering Thompson, and using interstate travel, electronic communications and a firearm, according to Fox News.
He is expected to be arraigned on the new indictments soon.
The new charges mean Attorney General Pam Bondi can seek the death penalty if Mangione is convicted of the Dec. 4 murder.
