Supreme Court allows Trump admin to deport illegal immigrants to countries they are not from
The justices granted the Trump administration’s emergency request to put U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy’s injunction on hold.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday allowed the Trump administration to deport illegal immigrants to countries that they are not from.
The High Court lifted U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy's nationwide injunction that placed restrictions on the deportations to those countries, Politico reported. Murphy had required the administration to give immigrants “meaningful” advance notice and a chance to raise objections before they are sent to these countries.
The justices granted the Trump administration’s emergency request to put Murphy’s injunction on hold.
Rep. Nathaniel Moran, R-Texas, reacted to the Supreme Court decision on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast episode to be aired Monday.
"Kudos to the Supreme Court for getting it right," Moran said. "The national security interest of Americans should be at the forefront of all these decisions, and I think that they understand that, and they're giving the President the latitude to do what's necessary to protect our country."
