Netanyahu thanks Trump for joining Israel in airstrikes on Iran nuclear sites, 'pivot of history'

Israeli is America’s strongest ally in the Middle East, and Netanyahu offered high praise for decisive action by President Trump.

Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday night thanked President Trump deploying the U.S. military to help Israel in airstrikes early in the evening on  three of Iran's nuclear sites: in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. 

"Congratulation, President Trump," he opened, saying that Trump's bold decision to target Iran's nuclear facilities with the "awesome and righteous might of the United States" will change history. He said that in tonight's action, following Israel's "Rising Lion" operation, "America has been truly unsurpassed." 

"History will record that President Trump acted to deny the world's most dangerous regime the world's most dangerous weapon." 

Netanyahu also said Trump's "leadership today has created a pivot of history that can help lead the Middle East and beyond to a future of prosperity and peace."

Netanyahu concluded by saying in his statement: "President Trump and I often say, 'peace through strength.' First comes strength, then comes peace. And tonight, President Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength. President Trump, I thank you, the people of Israel thank you, the forces of civilization thank you. God bless America. God bless Israel. And maybe got bless our unshakable alliance, our unbreakable faith."
