FAA issues warning to airlines over Venezuelan airspace
The FAA notice points to a “worsening security situation and heightened military activity in or around Venezuela.”
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an alert urging airlines to proceed with caution when flying over Venezuela, citing a “potentially hazardous situation” in the region.
According to the advisory, operators should be particularly careful in the Maiquetía Flight Information Region (FIR) at all altitudes, including during overflight, takeoff, landing, and even while aircraft are on the ground.
