FBI Director Kash Patel on Wednesday announced that the bureau has captured one of its "Top 10 Most Wanted" fugitives, who was wanted for the death of her six-year-old son.

Patel said the fugitive, identified as Cindy Rodriguez Singh, has been accused of murdering her son and will face charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and capital murder of a person under 10 years of age.

Authorities conducted a welfare search for Singh's son in Everman, Texas, in March of 2023, who had not been seen since October 2022. Patel claimed Singh allegedly lied to the authorities about her son's location and then fled to India. An arrest warrant was later issued for Singh, who authorities do not believe had been back to the U.S. since.

"This is the 4th "10 Most Wanted" fugitive arrested in the last 7 months," Patel said. "That's a credit to tremendous field work, law enforcement partners, intelligence operatives, and an administration who is letting good cops do their jobs."

Singh was arrested in India with the assistance of Indian authorities and INTERPOL, per Fox News. She has been transported back to the United States and will be turned over to Texas authorities.
