Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday confirmed that Ukraine's security partners had not warned Kyiv of Russia's attacks on the country over the weekend.

“Unfortunately, there was no warning from our partners about this strike. Intelligence on the launch of Russian ballistic missiles helps save lives," he said, according to the Kyiv Post.

His remarks come as President Donald Trump has feuded with Zelensky over Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy facilities. Trump has negotiated a deal with Russia to inject diesel into global markets, hoping to stabilize prices.

The president has also called for Ukraine to select a new leader. Zelensky's term expired in 2024, though the war has prompted a suspension of elections.

Also on Tuesday, White House press secretary Katie Zacharia declined to answer whether the U.S. was still sharing intelligence with the Ukrainian government.
