FBI director on ex-Hochul aide PPE scandal: FBI won't 'tolerate public officials' selling out U.S.
In an X post responding to Patel, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino hints at additional charges coming for other public officials
FBI Director Kash Patel directly addressed the new bribery charges involving a former aide to Govs. Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul over an alleged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) scheme.
"While Americans were locked down and desperate for PPE, Linda Sun and Chris Hu cashed in - allegedly lining their pockets while serving CCP interests," Patel wrote on X. "This is corruption that endangered lives. The FBI will not tolerate public officials who sell out their country."
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino responded to Patel's post, writing, "Read the last sentence again. Bookmark it."
Sun and her husband Chris Hu were indicted Wednesday.
