Former US attorney appointed by Biden found dead in Virginia home at 43
A cause of death has not yet been released.
Jessica D. Aber, the former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia who appointed by former President Biden, was found dead in her home on Saturday morning two months after she stepped down from her position.
A cause of death has not been released.
The Alexandria Police are reportedly withholding more details about her death at this time at the request of the family.
Aber was appointed by Biden on Aug. 10, 2021 and later confirmed by the U.S. Senate. She reportedly stepped down in January after Trump's inauguration.
As NBC News pointed out, Trump wrote on Truth Social in February that he “instructed the termination” of "Biden era" U.S. attorneys.
U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi reacted to the news.
“The loss of Jessica Aber, former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, is deeply tragic,” she said.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to her family and friends during this profoundly difficult time,” Bondi also said.
