FBI has arrested more than 10,000 illegal migrants since Trump took office
Most of the attention since Trump took office Jan. 20 ha focused on the Homeland Security Department and its Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency that takes the lead in deportations.
The FBI disclosed Tuesday it has made more than 10,000 immigration arrests since President Donald Trump took office, opening an additional front in the battle to reverse Biden-era open-border policies by focusing on gang and criminal elements among the alien population.
Most of the attention since Trump took office on Jan. 20 has been focused on the Homeland Security Department and its Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency that takes the lead in deportations.
But officials said FBI Director Kash Patel has quietly shifted scores of agents to focus on criminal illegal aliens, especially violent drug gang and human trafficking ring members, speeding their capture and putting them in line for deportation.
The FBI told Just the News the effort has resulted in 10,553 arrests of illegal aliens between Trump's inauguration and Monday. A large majority of the arrests with joint operations with federal and local law enforcement.
"With over 10,000 immigration-related arrests, the Bureau under the direction of Director Patel is making it clear, it’s not turning a blind eye to the border crisis," Erica Knight, an adviser to Patel, told Just the News.
"It’s targeting the violent cartels and criminal networks that are exploiting it. This is the direction Americans have been demanding, and the Bureau is delivering on the promise to put safety and sovereignty first," she added.
