U.S.-Ukraine reach mineral resources deal: Report
Trump promised to end the Ukraine War within the first 24 hours of taking office, though that self-imposed deadline has passed.
Ukraine and the United States have reportedly reached an agreement on the development of the nation's mineral resources, according to Reuters, which cited "two sources with knowledge of the matter."
The terms of the agreement remain unclear, but it comes after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refused to sign an earlier version and as President Donald Trump has demanded compensation for American support.
Zelensky is expected to finalize the deal with Trump at the White House on Friday, according to The Hill.
Tensions between Washington and Kyiv have escalated in recent weeks as Trump has called Zelensky a "dictator" and the Ukrainian leader has publicly criticized his administration's talks with Russian diplomats.
