There were two apparent terrorist attacks on Thursday, one in Virginia at Old Dominion College and one in Michigan at a large Reform synagogue. 

Both alleged terrorists were killed in the process. In Virginia, it was by members of Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), whose classroom he attacked, killing one and injuring two more. People in the class "subdued" the man, originally from Sierra Leone, who had been released early, in December 2024, after being sentenced in 2016 to 11 years in prison for providing material support to ISIS. 

In Michigan, the alleged terrorist, who was born in Lebanon, drove his vehicle into a synagogue, where he was later found dead after security saw and engaged the suspect in gunfire.

Multiple law enforcement officials told the media outlet that emergency responders found what appeared to be a large amount of explosives in the back of the vehicle.
