The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday refuted a new report that the politician is coming to Washington, D.C. to meet with President Trump.

Netanyahu's spokesperson Omer Dostri posted on the social media platform X that Netanyahu has not received a formal invitation.

"If and when an official invitation to visit is received, we will follow all accepted procedures," he also wrote.

Netanyahu is planning to meet Trump at White House next week, The Times of Israel reported Monday.

The trip will depend on Netanyahu's health due to him recovering from prostate cancer.

Trump told reporters this week that he and Netanyahu will meet "very soon."
