President Donald Trump has fired multiple national security officials including National Security Agency Director Gen. Timothy Haugh and his deputy director, Wendy Noble.

The dismissals were reported late Thursday by multiple news agencies, based on sources with direct knowledge of the situation.

Haugh also led U.S. Cyber Command.

The firings follow a meeting Wednesday that Trump had with loyalist and right-wing activist Laura Loomer in which she purportedly presented the president with research about staffers whom she found to be disloyal to him.

Noble was reassigned to a post within the Defense Department’s Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. Sheila Thomas, NSA’s executive director, will reportedly assume Haugh’s NSA responsibilities.

Four other officials were also fired – Brian Walsh, a director for intelligence and a former top staffer for now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the Senate Intelligence Committee; Thomas Boodry, a senior director for legislative affairs who previously served as Waltz’s legislative director in Congress; David Feith, a senior director overseeing technology and national security who served in the State Department during Trump’s first administration; and Maggie Dougherty, senior director for international organizations, according to CNN
