President Donald Trump on Thursday slammed MSNBC hosts Nicole Wallace and Rachel Maddow over their comments on a 13-year-old who is battling cancer, stating they should be forced to resign.

Trump made brain cancer survivor DJ Daniel an honorary agent of the United States Secret Service on Tuesday, during his speech to a joint session of Congress. Daniel was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2018 and was given five months to live, however, he has lived an additional six years so far.

Maddow slammed the move on Tuesday night as "disgusting," stating that the president made it seem like he played a role in the child's battle with the disease.

Wallace also appeared critical by stating that she hopes he "never has to defend the United States Capitol against Donald Trump supporters," according to the Washington Examiner.

The host added that if he does ever need to do so, "I hope he isn’t one of the six who loses his life to suicide," or be forced to "testify against the people who carried out acts of seditious conspiracy and then lived to see Donald Trump pardon those people.”

Trump responded that the comments were "disgraceful" and that he expects both of them have "lost all credibility."

“Frankly, what Nicole Wallace said, I’ve never been a fan of hers and she’s not very talented, but I’ll tell you, what she said the other day about that young man is disgraceful,” Trump said. “She should be forced to resign, and Rachel Maddow should be forced to resign. Nobody watches her anyway. I don’t know, it’s not possible they pay her as much money as I hear, but certainly, she’s lost all credibility. Both of them.”
