President-elect Trump revealed on Saturday that he plans to visit Los Angeles probably at the end of next week to survey the wildfire damage.

“We’re going to be demanding that the water be released from the north into the lower parts of California,” he said during a phone interview with NBC News.

“I was going to go, actually yesterday, but I thought it would be better if I went as president. It’s a little bit more appropriate, I suspect,” he added.

Trump said he has not yet spoken directly to California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.

He also said an announcement on the handling of TikTok will take place on Monday. The app is set to be banned in U.S. app stories by Sunday since its owner has not sold it to a U.S.-based entity. The Biden administration has said it wouldn't enforce the ban and instead allow Trump's administration to handle the matter.

“The 90-day extension is something that will be most likely done, because it’s appropriate. You know, it’s appropriate. We have to look at it carefully. It’s a very big situation,” Trump said.

Trump told NBC he plans to issue a "record-setting" number of executive actions after taking office, putting the number at more than 100.

Trump has said moving the inauguration indoors was the "right decision," given the low temperatures in the forecast for Washington, D.C.
