The White House on Monday continued denying that President Donald Trump signed a birthday book for Jeffrey Epstein in 2003, after House Democrats released the doodle and signature in question.

The drawing, which Epstein's estate gave to the House Oversight Committee earlier Monday, appeared to match the description in a Wall Street Journal article earlier this year on the alleged birthday project.

Trump has repeatedly denied signing the book and even sued the Wall Street Journal for publishing the story on the alleged birthday project, which was orchestrated by known associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on X that the signature on the bawdy drawing did not match the president's official one. The White House and Trump have also argued the language did not sound like him.

"As I have said all along, it’s very clear President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it. President Trump’s legal team will continue to aggressively pursue litigation," Leavitt wrote. "This is FAKE NEWS to perpetuate the Democrat Epstein Hoax!"

Other White House officials, including White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich, have also said it's not the president's signature in posts on X.

The House Oversight panel also received the last will and testament of Epstein immediately preceding his death in 2019, entries from Epstein's address/contact books from January 1, 1990, through August 10, 2019; and information about Epstein’s known bank accounts.
