White House unveils 'Trump TV' amid legal battle over media coverage

The White House announced Monday the creation of a new project, dubbed "TRUMP TV," which comes amid a legal battle regarding media coverage of President Donald Trump and his presidential administration.

The White House described the new endeavor as an "essentials station," which will feature all the administration's top moments in a livestream on the White House's YouTube page.

"TRUMP TV IS STREAMING NOW. 24/7, updated in real time, with top past moments, announcements, and the latest and greatest from the administration all in one place," the White House posted on X. "Not every big moment has made it on your TV, now it can." 

The move comes after President Donald Trump last week, chose to ban Politico, MSNOW, and CNN from the White House, citing what he called their long history of posting "fake news" about him. Those outlets have since sued the administration and other media companies have halted White House pool coverage in solidarity with them.

Trump condemned the news coverage of him as "biased news," highlighting that some of his successes have been ignored by the mainstream outlets. 

"It's just biased news," Trump said in a news conference in New York City on Monday. "I think that these outlets have an obligation to be fair, and if they're fake news, I really think I have an obligation not to allow them."
