AG Bondi, FBI Director Patel announce arrest of 205 alleged online predators targeting children
Bondi said 55 FBI field offices participated in the operation and 115 children were rescued.
Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel on Wednesday announced that 205 alleged sex predators who went after children online have been arrested over the past five days.
"These depraved human beings, if convicted, will face the maximum penalty in prison, some [for] life," Bondi said at a joint press conference with Patel. "We will find you. We will arrest you, and we will charge you. If you are online targeting a child, you will not escape us. The FBI and the Department of Justice will come after you. And we will prosecute you."
The operation to arrest the alleged predators was called "Operation Restore Justice," according to Fox News.
Bondi said 55 FBI field offices participated in the operation and 115 children were rescued.
Among those arrested included an Army reservist in Minneapolis who allegedly produced child sexual abuse material and an illegal migrant from Mexico who allegedly transported a minor across state lines for sex.
"If you harm our children, you will be given no sanctuary," Patel said. "There is no place we will not come to hunt you down. There is no place we will not look for you, and there is no cage we will not put you in. Should you do harm to our children, the prioritization of this administration."
