Ohio man who allegedly ran Rep Max Miller off the road turns himself in, faces criminal charge

An Ohio man has been charged in connection with GOP Rep. Max Miller having been run off the road Thursday, after turning himself in to police.

Rocky River Police Department say Feras Hamdan, 36, surrendered while accompanied by his attorney, Cleveland 19 News reported. 

However, it's unclear when exactly Hamdan surrendered. He has been charged with aggravated menacing and is expected to be arraigned Friday.

Miller, who is Jewish and served in the U.S. Marines as a reservist, posted on X on Thursday, "Today I was run off the road ... and the life of me and my family was threatened by a person who proceeded to show a Palestinian flag before taking off.

“As I was driving to work, some unhinged, deranged man decided to lay on his horn and run me off the road, when he couldn’t get my attention, to show me a Palestinian flag, not to mention death to Israel, death to me — that he wanted to kill me and my family,.

Miller also requested a criminal-protection order against Hamdan, according to police.

Rocky River Police, U.S. Capital Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers, the FBI, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Ohio are all investigating the incident.

Police said that Miller called 911 around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, saying that a man laid on his horn and ran him off the road when he couldn’t get his attention, while trying to show the Palestinian flag as he was driving to work.
