Suspected Charlie Kirk shooter Tyler Robinson is expected to be charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice.

Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah resident, allegedly shot Kirk, a 31-year-old conservative political activist, on Wednesday from about 150 yards away with a high-powered rifle at Utah Valley University, in Orem, Utah. Kirk was taken to a hospital, where he died from the gunshot wound.

"Based on the evidence detailed in this statement, I believe there is probable cause that Tyler Robinson committed the crimes of aggravated murder by shooting Charlie Kirk in a circumstance that put many around him at grave risk of death, felony discharge of a firearm, and obstruction of justice for moving and hiding the rifle believed to be used in the shooting," an officer wrote in a probable cause affidavit, Fox News reported.

Utah County attorney Jeff Gray plans to file charges on Tuesday, with Robinson's first court appearance to be at 3 p.m. that day, according to TMZ.

A source told Fox News that Robinson could face federal charges on Friday.
