Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) announced a shipment pause to the U.S. due to President Trump's tariff actions.

Trump has said the U.S. is implementing a 25% tax on vehicle imports.

“The USA is an important market for JLR’s luxury brands,” Jaguar Land Rover said in a statement. “As we work to address the new trading terms with out business partners, we are taking some short-term actions including a shipment pause in April, as we develop our mid- to longer-term plans.”

The Associated Press noted that carmakers based in the U.K. have increased U.S. shipments in anticipation of tariffs.

Shipments increased 38.5% in December, 12.4% in January and 34.6% in February compared to the previous year, the AP reported.
