Pope Francis makes first public appearance at Vatican since leaving hospital

Pope Francis surprised health workers and sick patients on Sunday at St. Peter’s Square during a special mass, marking his first public appearance at the Vatican since he left the hospital after being treated for double pneumonia.

“Good Sunday to everyone,’’ Francis said.

The special mass was the "Jubilee Of The Sick And Health Care Workers."
