A series of destructive storms that spawned multiple tornadoes hit northern Oklahoma Thursday night, injuring at least 10 people.

Enid, a town of approximately 50,000 people 100 miles north of Oklahoma City, saw severe damage from one tornado.

"I am very grateful to report that while homes have sustained significant damage, there have been no fatalities and only minor injuries sustained," Enid Mayor David Mason told KFOR, a local television station.

A second tornado spawned in Garfield County northwest of Enid, which caused damage to Vance Air Force Base and destroyed several homes in one neighborhood, according KOCO News

"We are currently conducting accountability procedures to ensure all personnel are safe and accounted for. Base leadership is assessing the installation to determine the extent of damage and to ensure the safety of facilities and infrastructure," officials at Vance Air Force Base said in a statement.

As of Friday morning, there have been no fatalities reported from any of the storms.
