Trump's granddaughter Kai speaks at GOP convention, calls him an 'inspiration'
"A lot of people have put my grandfather through hell and he's still standing," Kai said during her speech.
Former President Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai Madison Trump spoke at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday, and called her grandfather an "inspiration."
“Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you," 17-year-old Kai said during her speech, looking at the 45th president.
She went on to share personal stories about Trump, including his asking her about her golf game and always asking how she was doing in school.
"Even when he's going through all of these court cases, he always asks me how I'm doing," Kai said. "He always encourages me to be the most successful person I can be."
Kai, daughter of Donald Trump Jr., said that she was shocked when she heard the news that Trump was almost killed at a rally over the weekend.
"A lot of people have put my grandfather through hell and he's still standing," she said.
