Carville slams Kamala Harris' book amid criticism: 'No Democrat wants to hear from you'
Several Democratic strategists have slammed Harris for her book, stating that she fails to take accountability for the embarrassing loss and tries to blame other people.
Democratic strategist James Carville on Thursday slammed former Vice President Kamala Harris over her criticism of the party in her new book, and recent comments she made on her book tour.
The former vice president dropped her latest book "107 Days," last month, which is about her sudden thrust into the race for the White House last year before it crashed in a massive loss to President Donald Trump in November's general election.
Several Democratic strategists have slammed Harris for her book, stating that she fails to take accountability for the embarrassing loss and tries to blame other people.
“Let me be very clear here. No one that had anything to do with 2024, no Democrat wants to hear from you,” Carville said on his “Politics War Room” podcast when asked if Harris should step off the national stage. "We all voted for you. OK, not Hunter Biden, not Harris, not Tim Walz, not the consultants, not anything. 2024 has left such a lingering bad taste in Democrats. Just get out of the way.”
Garry South, a Democratic strategist based in California, told The Hill that the former vice president's book was an odd approach for someone who is still contemplating another White House run.
"[The book] shows she's blaming everyone but herself for the loss," he said. “It is a curiously negative and ungracious [approach] to me for someone who reportedly thinks she can run again in 2028."
Harris has not announced another attempt at the presidency but said she was taking the time to really listen to voters. Harris has also ruled out a gubernatorial bid in California.
The former vice president attempted to shift some blame for her failure to become the first female president on her choice of vice president. She ultimately chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, but said she should have picked former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
