Democratic socialist Hong loses to moderate Crowley in Wisconsin governor primary: AP

Wisconsin Democratic primary candidate Francesca Hong wasn't able to ride the progressive wave that handed other democratic socialists primary victories in other states. 

Moderate Democrat David Crowley narrowly won the Wisconsin primary for governor Tuesday. After Hong conceded the race to her opponent, which removed the possibility of a recount, the Associated Press called the race for Crowley. 

Crowley is expected to address his supporters at a unity event later Wednesday. Crowley’s campaign manager Garren Randolph said in a statement that he's "focused on bringing people together" and earning the support of voters across all parties. 

Hong's campaign manager Beckey Cooper said she was "proud of the race we ran."
