Republican U.S. Rep. Jeff Hurd defeated Democratic challenger, Dwayne Romero, in Colorado's 3rd District race.

The Associated Press called the race for Hurd on Thursday morning. As of 1 p.m. ET, Hurd had 49.3% of the vote, and Romero had 47.4% of the vote, with 95% of the votes counted.

Hurd, who will enter his second term after his win in the election, may end up being the only Republican member of Colorado's House delegation to survive the midterms.

The state's 4th District race remains in the balance, where Democrat Eileen Laubacher holds nearly 3,000 more votes than Republican incumbent Lauren Boebert.

Hurd, 47, is an attorney in Grand Junction. He won in 2024 by 5 points, the same year President Donald Trump carried the district by 9 points, the Denver Gazette reported.
