The Senate Leadership Fund (SLF), a top Republican super political action committee (PAC), and an affiliate have broken their record for most money raised in the first six months of a non-election year, by raising $85 million in the first six months of 2025.

The super PAC and its affiliate, One Nation, are considered major fundraisers for the Senate GOP and together previously raised $38 million during the same period in 2023, according to Axios

The two groups have a total of $83 million in cash on hand, with the SLF having $29 million on its own. The groups have already started to spend money on Senate candidates in Alaska, Georgia, North Carolina, Maine and Nebraska.

“This fundraising milestone reflects the exuberant support for the grit and effectiveness of Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Senate Republicans as they continue to deliver for the American people," SLF Chairman Cory Gardner said in a statement

"Thanks to Leader Thune’s success and our generous supporters, we will have the firepower to hold Democrats accountable and expand the Republican Senate Majority in 2026," he added.

SLF executive director Alex Latcham said the groups have been working with the White House to find and vet potential candidates for the upcoming Senate races next year, and credited the fundraising success so far to excitement surrounding the new Trump administration and Thune.

Latcham said there have also been new donors that are excited about the Trump presidency, including the "crypto community, which is more engaged in politics writ large."

The SLF is expected to prioritize its outreach with avid Trump supporters who do not usually turn up for midterm elections, by putting more emphasis on streaming and digital ads. The strategy is also expected to draw in younger voters.

"What will not change is that SLF will continue to be the preeminent outside group dedicated to, you know, keeping and expanding the Senate Republican majority," Latcham said.
