Kennedy kicks off nationwide 'Take Back Your Health' tour in Pennsylvania

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. kicked off his nationwide "Take Back Your Health" tour Wednesday with two events in Pennsylvania.
The tour began at the Pennsylvania state capitol building in Harrisburg, where Kennedy joined over a dozen state legislators, and the day concluded in Lancaster County, where he met with residents about the needs of rural communities.
The tour will focus on promoting the HHS' new Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the Trump administration's efforts to Make America Healthy Again. The new guidelines include an inverted food pyramid that places red meat, cheese, vegetables and fruits at the top.
“These guidelines tell us what we ought to eat, a lot of protein, dairy, I'd eat eggs. I'd eat meat, fruit and vegetable and high fiber grains," Kennedy said. "These guidelines are going to drive dramatic changes in dietary culture in this country."
In Lancaster County, the secretary toured Kreider Farms' "Moo-ternity Barn" and the Rotary Parlor milking facility. After the tour, he held a roundtable discussion with local farmers, along with a conversation with elderly residents about the needs of the state's rural communities.
"HHS is implementing President Trump's $50 billion Rural Health Transformation Fund — the largest federal investment in rural health in American history," Kennedy said. "Rural communities form the backbone of this country, and under President Trump and my watch, Washington will no longer ignore them."
