Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Friday ruled out a presidential bid in 2028, asserting that he was only concerned with supporting President Donald Trump.

"The swamp is in full panic mode. DC lobby shops are laboring fiercely to drive a wedge between President Trump and me, hoping to thwart our team from dismantling the status quo and advancing [the president's]’ Make America Healthy Again agenda," Kennedy posted on X. "They’re pushing the flat-out lie that I’m running for president in 2028. Let me be clear: I am not running for president in 2028."

As head of HHS, Kennedy has worked to remove harmful ingredients from American food stuffs and to encourage healthier lifestyles among Americans. The "Make America Healthy Again" movement is a derivative of Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan.

Kennedy originally ran in 2024 as a Democratic candidate, but dropped out of the primary in favor of an independent bid. He later dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump.
