The accidental discharge of a gun inside Atlanta's major airport on Saturday afternoon sparked panic and caused significant flight delays.
The incident occurred near the main screening area of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport at about 1:30 p.m., according to CNN.
Officials said the gun accidentally discharged when a screener was inspecting a bag and the passenger reached for the weapon.
Three people were injured, but it's unclear whether any of the injuries were directly related to the gun being discharged or the result of people scrambling to safety.
Officials also said the passenger who reached for the gun is a convicted felon and that a warrant has been issued for an arrest.
