Nearly 1,000 flights were canceled Thursday morning, after the federal government reopened the night before.

At 10 a.m. EST, there was a total of 996 flight cancellations, according to FlightAware’s tracker of flights in the U.S, The Hill news outlet reported. There were 910 cancellations reported on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, 1,264 flights were canceled, which decreased from 2,422 on Monday and 2,953 on Sunday.

The House of Representatives passed the government funding bill from the Senate on Wednesday, which President Trump signed into law later that night. The bill funds the federal government through Jan. 30, ending the longest government shutdown in history.

However, the effects of the shutdown will not immediately end, and air travel is still under government-mandated flight reductions amid staffing shortages and concerns about air safety.

The Federal Aviation Administration last week limited flights at 40 of the nation’s largest airports, starting at a 4% reduction on Friday and increasing it to 6% on Tuesday, which Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said would stay in place after the funding bill passed.
