Buzzfeed News to shut down as company announces mass lay-offs

In a staff memo sent Thursday, Buzzfeed CEO Jonah Peretti announced the shutdown of the company’s entire Pulitzer-winning news department. Peretti said the axing of Buzzfeed News is part of a 15% company-wide staff reduction.
