Matt Schlapp: Republican lawmakers have to earn their spot at CPAC

Conservative Political Action Conference Chairman Matt Schlapp explains why he decided to limit the number of Republican members of Congress at this year’s four-day conference. “The Republican Party has to chuck off to the side of the road this idea that they’re just an institutional presence in Washington,” says Schlapp. “They need to earn the support of conservatives, and one of the ways they earn it is to fight just as hard as Nancy Pelosi does for her agenda.”
