Police rescue drowning girl after car rolls into Utah reservoir

Newly released body-camera footage shows the dramatic rescue of an unconscious 12-year-old girl trapped in a vehicle submerged in a Utah reservoir on June 3. According to Tooele City Police Department Cpt Colbey Bentley, two officers were in the area checking water levels at the Settlement Canyon Reservoir around 2 pm on June 3 when witnesses alerted them to a car semi-submerged in the water. Three people were in the vehicle, police said: a 43-year-old mother and her two children. Only the mother and her young son escaped, according to police. A 12-year-old girl was trapped in the sinking car, officials said. This footage contains both body-worn camera and dashcam footage from the scene on June 3.
