Utah law requires parental consent for children to use social media
Utah Governor Spencer Cox signed new legislation Thursday requiring parental consent for a minor to use social media. The new law also requires social media platforms to make their sites inaccessible to minors from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The law will go into effect on March 1, 2024.
