White House criticizes recent enactment of “anti-LGBTQ” legislations across country

At a press briefing Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said “this has been one of the worst weeks” for anti-LGBTQ bills becoming laws in states nationwide. The White House specifically referenced Kansas, Indiana, and Idaho for recently passing legislation that would either restrict transgender health care or bar transgender women from playing in female sports. The White House called it a “dangerous attack on the rights of parents to make the best health care decisions for their own kids.”
