Homeless woman charged in murder of 12-year-old found in suitcase
Lola's parents, Delphine and Johan Daviet, reported her missing Friday afternoon after she did not come home from her school located nearby.
A 24-year-old Algerian homeless woman was charged Monday with the rape, torture and murder of a 12-year-old schoolgirl in Paris who was found Friday in a suitcase.
The woman, identified as Dahbia B., appeared in court Monday and was indicted for the murder of 12-year-old Lola Daviet, according to U.K. media outlet The Mirror.
Lola's parents, Delphine and Johan Daviet, reported her missing Friday afternoon after she did not come home from her school located nearby.
Security camera footage shows Lola entered her apartment complex with the alleged murderer.
A homeless man found Lola's body around 11 p.m. in a suitcase close to her apartment building.
She was reportedly bound and gagged inside a suitcase with the numbers 1 and 0 written on her chest.
Witnesses told the press the suspect entered the building alone and then left a half hour later with a large, heavy suitcase, which she asked people to help her carry.
Officials reportedly believe Lola was taken into the basement of her parents' building where she was raped and tortured before being strangled and having her throat slit.
