Outrage? U.S. student groups, socialist organizations praise Hamas for terrorist attacks on Israel

As Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists wage war against Israel, radical-left wing groups in the United States are carrying out rallies in support of the attacks.
In Times Square in New York City this weekend, the Democratic Socialists of America hosted an “All Out for Palestine” rally, with many supporters wearing masks so they are not identifiable.

The group has had a history of supporting pro-Palestine members of Congress, including Reps. Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, Rashida Talib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Jamal Bowman.
In Washington, D.C., just outside the White House, pro-Palestinian protesters cheered as a speaker shared a story of Hamas capturing and slaughtering Israeli soldiers.
For her part, Ocasio-Cortez called for an “immediate ceasefire and de-escalation is urgently needed to save lives.” I Omar also called for “de-escalation and ceasefire,” adding that she would “keep advocating for peace and justice throughout the Middle East.”
Tlaib’s office released a statement saying she grieved for the “Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day.”
“As long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue,” she added.
In the academic arena, various left-wing student groups at universities like Harvard have voiced support for the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, blaming the Jewish state for starting the violence.
“We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence,” read a joint statement by Harvard Palestine Solidarity Groups on the Situation in Palestine. The letter blamed Israel for the plight of the Palestinians, characterizing the Democratic Jewish state as an “apartheid regime. The second page of the letter was a list of student groups that supported the joint statement.
In Europe and Canada, Palestinian migrants and pro-Hamas supporters have also hosted rallies praising the terrorist group’s attack against Israel and calling for Israel’s destruction.
