Iran blames Israel for missile attack in Syria that killed senior IRGC officials
As of now, Israel has not responded to these allegations.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard blamed Israel for an attack which it said killed five senior members of its security forces, including the IRGC's Syria intelligence chief and his deputy, plus multiple Syrian forces.
As of now, Israel has not responded to these allegations.
Multiple strikes in Syria have occurred ever since the Israel-Hamas war began after the terrorist organization attacked Israel on Oct. 7, killing at least 1,200 Israelis and taking about 240 more hostage.
According to the BBC, Iran's foreign ministry described the attacks as an "aggressive and provocative" act by Israel.
A state-run Syrian Arab News Agency cited a military source that said they managed to stop some of the missiles, but the others hit a building and ended up killing civilians.
The "explosions" reportedly occurred in the western Mazzeh area of Syria and resumed in "a large cloud of smoke."
The U.S. has also not responded to the attack at this time.
