Trump admits urging Netanyahu not to take any action that would nix a US-Iran nuke deal

President Donald Trump acknowledged Wednesday that he urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to disrupt nuclear talks with Iran, amid reports that Israel may strike Iran's nuclear facilities. 

"On Iran, did you warn Prime Minister Netanyahu against taking some sort of actions that could disrupt the talks there in a call last week?" a reporter asked Trump at the White House. 

"Well, I'd like to be honest," Trump answered. "Yes, I did. Next question, please."

"It's not a warning," he later said. "I don't think it's appropriate."

Trump said the talks with Iran are doing well, and the countries are very close to a solution, but that could change any moment.

Trump's comments come after a Tuesday report from the Axios news outlet that Trump and Netanyahu had a conversation. 

Israel has reportedly been planning to strike nuclear facilities in Iran if talks are not successful.
