AG Pam Bondi warns Texas Democrat to be careful with her criticisms of Elon Musk
“She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we’re going to fight to protect all of the Tesla owners throughout this country,” Bondi said.
Attorney General Pam Bondi on Sunday warned Democratic firebrand Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas to “tread very carefully” when it comes to her criticisms of Tesla billionaire Elon Musk.
Crockett spoke at a virtual Tesla Takedown movement rally last week, where she claimed that all she wanted for her birthday this week was for Musk to "be taken down," but clarified that her comment was meant in a nonviolent manner.
The Tesla Takedown movement is a group that is rallying against Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as they try to drastically shake up the federal government. The group is calling for protests on March 29 at 500 Tesla locations globally.
“She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we’re going to fight to protect all of the Tesla owners throughout this country,” Bondi said on Fox’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
Bondi's urge for caution comes after she charged three people for allegedly vandalizing Tesla cars and properties. The attorney general said she is not backing down from the charges, for crimes she has referred to as "domestic terrorism."
“We are not coming off these charges,” she said. “We are looking at everything, especially if this is a concerted effort.”
