Noem reopens VOICE office to support families of those killed by illegals

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem re-opened an office started by the first Trump administration to support families who lost loved ones to illegal migrant crimes. 

The Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office, which reopened Wednesday, gives resources, aid and legal advice to families that have been impacted by the crimes of illegal migrants. 

“We have enemies living among us because of what the Biden administration has done by opening our borders,” Noem said during a press conference. 

This office will also establish a tip line for victims of illegal migrant crime.

"They have allowed terrorists, people that are on the terrorist watch list, dangerous criminals, gang members, and criminals to enter our country and to perpetuate violence on American families, and that is going to stop now,” Noem continued. 

The Biden administration closed down the office in 2021. Noem said that the Trump administration was “righting the ship” by bringing it back.
