Smugglers used a cloned U.S. Border Patrol K9 truck to move 24 migrants across the border and 3 individuals face arraignment in federal court in connection with the scheme.

A Mexican national and two Americans, Uriel Perez, Jovani Sanchez, and Kevin Valdez Ramirez, were allegedly behind the scheme to use the fake vehicle.

The truck driver reportedly used a dark green shirt and hat that matched a Border Patrol uniform, according to News Nation.

Agents from the Border Patrol Anti-Smuggling Unit followed the cloned vehicle to a garage at a home on West 16th Place in Yuma.

The indictment was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona on Feb. 4 and came to light this week.
