Swedish school sword attack victim was 17-year-old girl: report

An 18-year-old man armed with a sword attacked the Brinell School in Fagersta, northwest of Stockholm, on Friday while classes were underway. One person was killed and three others were injured, including two who suffered serious wounds.
Police said the suspect was arrested and is being investigated on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. Authorities said they have no indication that anyone else was involved.
Västmanland County said the two seriously injured victims were boys, ages 12 and 17. A third person, also under 18, sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital, Swedish news agency TT reported.
The school’s principal told local broadcaster P4 Västmanland on Saturday that the attacker was a student at the school.
